Whitening
Teeth whitening is a common dental procedure where Dr. Parsell and her team can help whiten your natural teeth and brighten your smile. The professional whitening products that can only be offered by a dental professional can drastically whiten your teeth and deliver as many as a 5 to 10 shade improvement in just one office visit. For the best results, your whitening will be done in our office with Dr. Parsell and her team supervising your care and monitoring the progress of your whitening as it is occurring. There are also some take home kits available that will allow you to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home. Many of our patients will use these kits to keep their smile bright or touch up small areas after an in-office treatment has been performed. Your teeth darken naturally over time and professional whitening is a cosmetic option that can allow you to erase years of staining and give you that bright, white, “movie star” smile that you have dreamed of.
We offer two different types of whitening in our office.
Our in-office treatments give you immediate results, while our take-home treatments give you professional whitening in the comfort of your own home. We recommend whitening after a full cleaning and exam. Whitening is not recommend in the presence of untreated gum disease or cavities.

Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes, teeth whitening is safe if you follow each product's guidelines carefully. Some whitening products can irritate gums, or leave you with sensitive teeth, so it's recommended that you get a consultation if you want to brighten your smile.
Our whitening treatments are formulated to give you long-lasting results, but the results will vary depending on the type of whitening you opt for. Lifestyle choices, such as drinking drinks that stain teeth, or smoking, will make them yellow again over time.
